Geek Coming

Well, my little geekling sprung through when I was like eight or nine. My older cousin, let's call him J had a bunch of manga, which if you don't know, are Japanese comic books that are from right to left, my favorite way to read. Well, I told him I was bored and he gave me one of his manga. It was an Inyuasha manga, hence why it was the first anime I've watched. Anyways, I found it interesting and I asked him to give me another one to read. He just grabs the whole series and duct tapes the entire series for me and writes my name on it. After that, I was on my computer at home, looking up things similar or about Inuyasha. That was how I became an anime geek.

First Experiences

What my first experience was on a Windows desktop when I was five years old. I was bored and I logged onto the computer (somehow), and clicked on a globe-ish icon. As soon as I saw the URL bar, I typed in 'Frosted Animal Crackers', and BAM! They popped up. I was thinking, 'Jesus Christ, I'm hungry now!" I then asked my mom and showed her the picture of what I "googled". Ever since then, I've become a fan of animal crackers. My relationship with the internet is more of a symbiotic relationship. I treat it well, in other words, let it take its time and wait, and it'll give me the fastest speed known to man . I use my computer for my hobby which is looking up food recipes and constantly getting hungry and making things to eat around the clock.
The technologies I grew up with were the computer, the Mp3 player. I watched TV shows on an actual TV and my first computer was a desktop, and then when I got older I had a laptop. I mostly used this to communicate friends I made from different places around the world. For example, I have a few friends in South Korea that I talk to so it's kind of hard with the time zones but other than that it's much easier than writing a letter. They haven't really changed for me. They just updated the design and made it have a few new features. Obviously, I've never had an iPhone but it's nothing I can't handle. It's actually a lot easier to use.
The media product that I find helpful is the iPhone. The reason I find this helpful is that it helps you contact family and friends from far places and it's much faster than writing the letter. The good the product does in my life is astronomical. It helps me do my homework when I'm stuck and helps me finds answers in a second or two. I like it because it provides me entertainment and it helps me get schoolwork done. It comes in all shapes and sizes so there's a perfect one for anyone. The media product that I think is harmful to the public is South Park. The reason why I think this is because it can cause people to form judgemental opinions which can cause public distress and other problems. Of course, people will say, "Well, if you don't like it don't watch it."
