K Pop

My favorite kind of music is a genre called K POP. As you know, I listen to this genre every single day. I live, breathe and eat this genre. My favorite artists from this genre are Shinee, BTS, EXO, BlackPink, Girl's Generation, and so many more. This genre appeals to me because it's like a pick me up after I've had a bad day or when I'm bored and I need something to listen to. It also makes me feel better when I eat something and it lets me know that I'm not alone in this cruel, unforgiving world. Another reason why I like K Pop is that the people are so beautiful and gorgeous and it's such an amazing experience to look at them. Their songs are so uplifting and they have fanbases all over the world. I grew up listening mostly to J-POP and when I got older, I discovered K POp. My first K-pop I listened to was Girl's Generation and at that time, they still had nine members. My musical style differs from my parents because they mostly listen to Teddy Pendergrass, I'm surprised I remembered the name. My sister listens mostly Why Don't We, which is a boy band similar to BTS but not quite. I'll always prefer K-Pop to any other music. If I'm at a party and I don't like the music, I'll be playing my own music and I'll be dancing over be singing the lyrics dancing like a squid with my tentacles cut off and I'll be smiling as I scream and jumping on the table and I'll be harrowing my sister's ears until her eardrums bleed and I'll be scared. I guess I'm REALLY OBSESSED with K-Pop and well to the point where its kind of insane. I love my own music over my family because I'm learning Korean through the music and I can explain it to them. Of course, I always will try to listen to this because I guess they just have their own tastes but they HATE when I blast my music on
 their own. I play mostly BTS and EXO, but I'll play some SEVENTEEN while I'm at it.

This song is about how love is predestined in their genetics and this music video has so many colors and the beat is really optimistic and upbeat.

One Of EXO's Songs is called OverDose. This song is about how people tend to overdose on someone else's love and the beat is super catchy along with lyrics to die for.

The media product that I find helpful is the iPhone. The reason I find this helpful is that it helps you contact family and friends from far places and it's much faster than writing the letter. The good the product does in my life is astronomical. It helps me do my homework when I'm stuck and helps me finds answers in a second or two. I like it because it provides me entertainment and it helps me get schoolwork done. It comes in all shapes and sizes so there's a perfect one for anyone. The media product that I think is harmful to the public is South Park. The reason why I think this is because it can cause people to form judgemental opinions which can cause public distress and other problems. Of course, people will say, "Well, if you don't like it don't watch it."

Video Game Video Analysis

I've watched a video called, Damsel in Distress Part 1, by Anita Sarkeesian. 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6p5AZp7r_Q&list=PLn4ob_5_ttEaA_vc8F3fjzE62esf9yP61 This video was about how the video game industry uses the trope that women were weak and particularly, had no control over the situation that I'm in. But, it also taught me a few new things, like yes the industry uses this trope but it uses it as a way to make people be more observant to the issues it does bring up. What was noteworthy to me was the fact that it literally robbed women of their chance to be their own hero, in other words, let the women figure things out for a change and do not depend on men so much. Another thing I found noteworthy is that they used an analogy. It went a little like this, the hero and the villain are obviously on opposite teams but the woman isn't on any team, she is the ball.
